Geoffrey Tahuahua Sworn In for Third Term on Dripping Springs City Council
DRIPPING SPRINGS, TX — Geoffrey Tahuahua was officially sworn in last week for his third consecutive term representing Place 3 on the Dripping Springs City Council. Joined by his wife and their three sons at the ceremony, Geoffrey reflected on the continued privilege of serving the city they are proud to call home.
“Standing beside my family during the swearing-in ceremony was a powerful reminder of why I stepped up to serve in the first place,” said Tahuahua. “I’m incredibly grateful to the people of Dripping Springs for their trust and support. This community has shaped so much of my life, and I’m committed to giving back through strong, steady leadership that puts families and small businesses first.”
As part of his third term, Geoffrey has been appointed to lead oversight in two critical areas of city governance: Finance and Emergency Management. In his role overseeing Finance, Geoffrey will help guide city budget priorities, ensuring that taxpayer dollars are managed responsibly and transparently. As Chair of the Emergency Management Committee, he will work closely with first responders and public safety officials to strengthen the city’s preparedness and response capabilities.
“These assignments reflect the heart of what good local government should be—fiscally sound and ready to serve when it matters most,” he added. “I take both responsibilities seriously and look forward to collaborating with staff, residents, and regional partners to meet the needs of our growing community.”
Geoffrey, a longtime policy advocate and public servant, brings over a decade of experience in municipal affairs, infrastructure planning, and community partnerships. His approach to leadership has always been rooted in transparency, thoughtful decision-making, and a deep respect for the people he represents.
