Statement on Recent Law Enforcement Operation In Dripping Springs

As a proud member of the Dripping Springs City Council, I want to express my unwavering support and deep appreciation for our dedicated law enforcement officers who work tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of our community. Their commitment and professionalism are the bedrock of the peace and security we enjoy daily.

It is both surprising and disheartening to witness any public official, especially our county judge, question or challenge the involvement and efforts of these brave men and women. Such statements not only undermine the morale of our law enforcement agencies but also risk eroding the trust and collaboration that are essential for effective governance and community safety.

I want to commend Hays County Sheriff Anthony Hipolito, Hays County Sheriff's Office, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the FBI for their continued efforts to keep our community safe. Their dedication to protecting our families, businesses, and way of life should be met with gratitude, not criticism. I stand firmly with them and urge all community leaders to do the same, recognizing that our collective efforts are vital in maintaining the harmony and security of Dripping Springs and Hays County.
